Seedream 5.0 reasons about your prompt before generating, capturing key features of reference images and interpreting vague instructions more accurately. This produces images that better match your intent, even with complex or ambiguous descriptions.

The model can search the web while generating, bringing in up-to-date visual knowledge — current events, trending styles, or real-world references. This means your images stay relevant and grounded in reality, not just training data.

You can iteratively refine results through conversation-style editing — adjust lighting, swap elements, change styles, or fine-tune details across multiple rounds while the model remembers prior context and keeps your image consistent.

Upload up to 14 reference images and the model extracts and applies their style, color palette, composition, or specific visual elements to your generation. Great for brand consistency or replicating a specific aesthetic.

Seedream 5.0 adds deep reasoning, web search, and multi-round editing — none of which existed in 4.5. Text rendering (Chinese and English) is noticeably better, prompt adherence is stronger, and generation speed is up to 10x faster at 2K/4K resolution.
